Job Summary
Pace Sheet Metal are experts in the fabrication and installation of Automatic Entrance Gates, and are also widely known for our bespoke metalworking division.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced gate automation engineer.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience installing, repairing and fault finding gate automation equipment (preferably CAME)
Experience in working with CAME Gate systems would be advantageous not essential
Skills Required
Come from an Electro – mechanical background
Able to weld on site
Experienced in fault finding and programming PCB's
Be willing to carry out some overtime when required including occasional Saturday mornings.
Have a good understanding of the legal requirements of the automation industry.
PACKAGE - 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
17 Days statutory holiday (Not including 3 days set-aside for Annual Christmas Closure & Not Including Bank Holidays) (Subject to Accrural Rules)

Responsibilities and Duties
Ideal Candidate will be responsible for Undertaking Installs of New Gate Equipment including the Metal (or Wooden) Gates themselves, Any associated Automation Kits, Intercoms, Safety Beams and any other requirements.
The engineer will also be tasked to respond to callout situations where they will visit existing customers to establish the nature of the fault which has cause the Gates to not operate correctly, and where possible either resolve, or report back to the office so that replacement parts & revisits to install replacement parts can be arranged.
The engineer will also undertake routine service work visiting existing customers at a pre-arranged time to undertake an annual service of all the equipment on site. This involves general clean-up of all the equipment, lubricating and checking moving parts, tightening bolts, and testing any control panels, intercoms & the like. A final test is of the Gate is then conducted before departing site after receiving sign-off from the customer
