Puppy Luv and Wellness hosts unique wellbeing events that bring people and puppies together in a safe, educational, and uplifting environment.
We host regular public sessions in Herne Hill, SE24 on weekends, alongside private and corporate events across London.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking to expand our team with enthusiastic and reliable Freelance Event Staff.
About the Role
This is a flexible, self-employed position with regular opportunities to work at our weekend events and occasional weekday private and corporate bookings.
Work is offered on an event-by-event basis, and team members are free to accept or decline individual assignments depending on their availability.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the setup and transformation of venues for Puppy Luv and Wellness events
- Welcoming and engaging with guests throughout the event
- Confidently speaking to groups and sharing information about our business, puppy welfare and event experiences
- Supporting the wellbeing and enjoyment of guests
- Cleaning up after the puppies.
- Helping ensure the welfare, comfort, and safety of the puppies and young dogs throughout our events
- Maintaining a professional, organised, and positive event environment
- Assisting with event breakdown and pack-down
- Promoting Puppy Luv and Wellness through your social media platforms.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, outgoing, and confident interacting with people
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Has experience with dogs and Puppies.
- Passionate about animal welfare, particularly dogs
- Reliable, professional and hardworking
- Organised, efficient and proactive
- Interested in creating exceptional experiences for our guests
- Generally available for weekend work and occasional weekday events
Pay and Working Arrangement
- £13 per hour
- Self-employed freelance position
- Work offered on an event-by-event basis
- Payment made upon receipt of a monthly invoice detailing dates and hours worked
- Applicants are welcome to work with other organisations alongside Puppy Luv and Wellness
Additional Requirements
- Applicants must be have the to work in the UK. Evidence will be required.
- A valid DBS check is required due to the nature of our events and interaction with children and families
