About the role
Looking to start a career in Engineering? This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced engineering team while working towards a recognised Engineering Technician apprenticeship qualification.
As an Engineering Apprentice, you'll work alongside skilled engineers to learn how to install, maintain, fault-find and repair a wide range of manufacturing equipment. You'll gain practical experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering, developing the knowledge and skills needed for a successful engineering career.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting with planned preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment
- Supporting engineers with fault finding, repairs and breakdown response
- Learning how to safely use engineering tools, equipment and diagnostic techniques
- Helping to install and commission new machinery and equipment
- Completing engineering documentation and maintenance records accurately
- Following health and safety procedures and food safety standards at all times
- Working with the engineering team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Attending college/training as part of your apprenticeship programme and applying your learning in the workplace
About you
- Keen to learn and build a career in Engineering
- Practical, hands-on and interested in how machinery and equipment work
- Good problem-solving skills with a logical approach
- Well organised with good attention to detail
- Able to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively
- Committed to working safely and following procedures
- Comfortable using basic IT systems and willing to learn new skills
Due to the location of our training provider and the requirements of the apprenticeship, applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
