Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic After School Activity Club Lead Coaches to organise and oversee engaging extracurricular activities for children. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that promotes physical activity, teamwork, and skill development. Duties
- Plan, organise, and lead a variety of after-school activities and sports programmes tailored to different age groups.
- Create staff rotas and training plans to ensure all staff are ready for deployment.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and personal growth among children.
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing encouragement and constructive feedback.
- Maintain equipment and activity areas in a clean, organised, and safe condition.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and programme coordinators regarding programme schedules and children's development.
- Adapt activities to accommodate varying skill levels and individual needs.
- Lead by example in demonstrating sportsmanship, respect, and positive behaviour to both children and other adults.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, childcare or teaching within an educational or extracurricular setting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging programmes.
- Excellent communication skills suitable for working with children, parents, and school staff.
- Ability to motivate children and foster a fun yet disciplined environment.
- Relevant qualifications in sports coaching, childcare or teaching are desirable.
- First aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided if necessary.
- A genuine passion for working with children and promoting active lifestyles. This role is ideal for motivated individuals dedicated to enriching children's after-school experiences through dynamic coaching and leadership.
Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
