Job Summary
The role is only open to applicants with direct experience in an FCA authorised firm, with excellent numeracy and initiative.
This role is working directly with directors of the firm managing key clients, as well as ad hoc FCA reporting as needed.
The likely appointee will have a mature cv with a wealth/investment/IFA/financial planning firm, investment and pension based. It would also suit someone wishing to become a financial planner in time.
The appointee will have precise experience in and knowledge of our sector, and a history of office based employment in central London.
- This can be a flexible role for the right person: it could easily also suit a parent seeking short working hours to fit in with schools/childcare responsibilities, -eg a 9.30-2.30 working day, with a pro rata salary. It is five days per week, Monday to Friday.
- It is not a hybrid role, it is in our office in Chancery Lane.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, be proficient in excel, very numerate, and have a solid background in financial planning, investment, pensions or IFA firms.
- This role requires excellent communication abilities, client etiquette, initiative and ability to assume responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Liaising directly with clients, managing client planning via Voyant.
- Client management and reporting, review report drafting, information gathering.
- Supporting directors with daily office operations and efficient workflow.
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping, including client records on Intelliflo.
- Supervise and train office staff when needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Handle human resources functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with FCA requirements, including some ad hoc reporting.
- Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders to facilitate operations.
- Organise meetings with clients, prepare agendas, and take minutes as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience within a wealth, pension or IFA firm, adviser, planner, senior administrator, paraplanner or in a financial planning/IFA role.
- Proficiency in excel and MS Office is essential.
- Strong initiative and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Excellent client interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a small team / office.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
