We are now looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our West London branch .
About the Role
We seek to appoint a full-time Warehouse Operative who will be responsible for accurately receiving, storing, picking and the loading of stock, in order to provide a high level of service to our customers.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Unload supplier vehicles, sign for goods received when required and store goods in the correct location.
- Maintain orderly storage of all stock.
- Pick stock according to sales requirements and load vehicles in the correct manner.
- Operate a fork lift truck to move stock as required in a safe manner at all times and in accordance with training received.
- Carry out daily checks and operate a fork lift trucks and other mechanical handling equipment in a safe condition.
- Carry out health and safety checks and ensure a safe working practice at all times.
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar warehouse environment is preferred.
- Previous Fork Lift Truck experience is essential.
- Builders merchants or distribution experience preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate order processing.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility and a "can do" attitude.
