Heartwood Care is currently seeking a new operations manager to manager a portfolio of 5 EBD Homes across London(Ilford/Romford) and Kent(Hythe).
Job Description
Role
- Comply with Safeguarding Children policy and procedures at all times and promote an honest and open culture.
- Ensure full compliance in respect of all relevant legislation and regulation
- Demonstrate passion and commitment to excellent support and quality
- Promote strong personalisation/individual care & support, striving to achieve the highest standards of personalised support
- Work in partnership with regulatory and legislative bodies, maintaining positive, open communication and relationships.
- Provide effective leadership; responsible for ensuring efficient and effective management of all designated children’s homes
- Actively promote a culture of high performance
- Responsible for the commercial viability of all designated children’s homes.
- Responsible for Delivering agreed levels of “EBITDA”, return on investment and cash-management targets in line with the annual budget, by effectively and efficiently managing resources, and aiming to improve the quality of earnings – optimising profitability and managing costs effectively.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement and development with a strong focus on best practice
- Promote a learning organisation culture and commit to personal and workforce skills’ development

Ideal Candidate
- Formal sector related qualification, ideally at level 5 (desirable) or willingness to work towards
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation relating to residential children’s homes (Essential)
- 2 yrs Experience in working in relevant health and social care setting, in a management position
