We’re looking for friendly and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our community and domiciliary care team in Annitsford, North Tyneside.
You’ll support adults with autism, learning disabilities and additional support needs, helping them live happy, independent and fulfilling lives in their own homes and local communities.
This is more than just a support role. It’s about building meaningful relationships, encouraging independence and helping people achieve the things that are important to them.
About the Role
As a Community Support Worker, you’ll provide personalised support that helps people live life on their own terms.
Your role will include:
- Building positive and trusting relationships with the people you support.
- Supporting individuals to develop independence and everyday living skills.
- Helping people access hobbies, activities, appointments and opportunities in their local community.
- Encouraging choice, confidence and involvement in decisions about their lives.
- Providing personal care where required.
- Following personalised support plans and autism-informed approaches.
- Supporting with medication following appropriate training.
- Promoting wellbeing, inclusion and a positive quality of life.
- Maintaining accurate records and working closely with colleagues, families and professionals.
You’ll be part of a supportive team while also having the opportunity to work independently and see the positive impact you’re making every day.
