Our client, a reputable and rapidly expanding independent used car supermarket in Derby, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their modern and busy workshop. Duties:
- Performing routine servicing and vehicle maintenance on a diverse range of vehicles
- Diagnosing faults accurately and carrying out efficient repairs
- Completing MOT tests where qualified
- Conducting road tests and ramp inspections to ensure vehicle safety and quality
- Executing repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards and approved methods
- Completing all relevant job cards, service sheets, and workshop documentation accurately
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to optimise workshop efficiency and workflow
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician Position:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
- Proven experience working in a workshop environment
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- MOT licence would be advantageous but is not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Own set of tools
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively within a busy team environment
