FPC (NW) Ltd is seeking experienced and reliable Fire Door Installers / Fire Door Joiners to join our growing team, delivering fire door installation and remediation projects across the UK.

The Role
You will be responsible for the installation of new fire door sets and the remediation of existing fire doors to ensure compliance with current fire safety standards, manufacturer requirements, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Installation of new fire doors, frames, and associated ironmongery.
- Carrying out fire door remedial works, including:
- Gap adjustments
- Intumescent and smoke seal replacement
- Hinges, locks, latches and closers
- Door leaf and frame repairs
- General compliance upgrades
- Working from drawings, specifications, schedules and fire door inspection reports.
- Ensuring all works are completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with current fire door regulations.
- Identifying and reporting defects, non-compliant items and additional works required.
- Recording completed works and photographic evidence using smart devices where required.
- Following site-specific RAMS, health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Essential Requirements
✔ Minimum Blue CSCS Card
✔ Minimum 3 years' experience working on fire door installation and remediation projects
✔ Proven experience installing new fire doors and carrying out compliant remedial works
✔ Strong understanding of current fire door regulations and compliance requirements
✔ Full UK Driving Licence
✔ Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
✔ Own tools including:
- Battery or 110V tools
- Nail guns
- Track saw
- Routers
- Multi-tool
- General joinery tools
✔ Confident using smartphones or tablets to record works, upload photographs and manage job information
✔ Professional attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
The following are advantageous but not essential:
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
- First Aid Qualification
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Fire door surveying experience
- Experience working within FIRAS or BM TRADA certified environments
- Fire door manufacturer training or accreditation
- Additional fire safety or compliance qualifications
Working Away
Our projects are delivered nationwide, therefore applicants must be prepared to work away from home when required. Accommodation will be provided for working-away projects, with regular, ongoing work available.
