The Role
We are seeking to employ a Yardman who is responsible for the booking in and out of equipment for hire, and equipment returned. To load and unload vehicles and receive goods into the depot,
ensure good housekeeping. Complete audits as requested and contribute to the annual stock check. Working as part of the depot operations team and providing full operational support to all
areas of the business.
Responsibilities
Login plant / materials in and out of the yard utilising Eque 2 system.
Performing equipment inspections prior to delivery and on return.
Assisting with stock control.
Maintaining the high standard and quality of equipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the yard.
Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping, ensure areas are free from waste and trip
Hazards.
Requirements
Effective communication skills to work with team members.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to yard work.

Quality of yard area
Accuracy of equipment booked in and out
Efficiency of equipment booked in following return from site
Essential
Previous experience working in a Yardman role in the plant hire industry
Previous experience loading and unloading vehicles
Driving licence
Computer literate
Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Ability to work well within a team, offering support to others
Crane Ticket preferred but not essential
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
