Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our vibrant care home team. Duties
- Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure best practices are followed
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and resident progress using IT systems
- Support residents with medication management in accordance with prescribed instructions
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and conducting regular risk assessments
- Assist with transportation needs by driving residents to appointments or outings when required
Skills
- Proven experience in senior or care home settings with a strong understanding of elder care needs
- Supervising experience demonstrating leadership qualities and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to develop, follow, and update detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
- Valid driving license with the ability to drive residents safely when necessary
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and compliance standards within a care environment

Minimum 3 years experience as a carer, preferable in a nursing home.
Must have NVQ level 3 minimum.
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 36.0 per week
