HDS Architectural is an established architectural practice based within Wrexham Town Centre. The company traditionally specialises in the provision of residential and commercial developments. This is a list of many of the duties completed by an Architectural Technician. The list is not exhaustive, but it gives a clear indication of the day-to-day role. The employee will report directly to the company owner and should ideally have a full driving licence along with access to a car. The employee must demonstrate full proficiency using AutoCAD and hold a minimum qualification of an HND/HNC in Building Studies.
Position Details
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full-time). Part-time arrangements will also be considered for the right candidate.
- Location: Wrexham Town Centre (Office based)
Immediate Duties Include
- The production of planning drawings and working drawings.
- Carrying out on-site measured surveys of existing buildings.
- Ensuring Building Regulation conditions are discharged promptly.
- Liaising with local councils to enable the discharge of planning conditions.
- Implementing revisions to various drawings as and when required.
- Liaising and co-ordinating with external consultants to ensure correct information is produced.
- Dealing with questions from site arising from work progressing.
- Ensuring the client and site are supplied promptly with correct and current drawings.
- Attending relevant meetings prior to construction and all subsequent site meetings if required.
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with client queries.
- Completion of forms to submit planning and building regulation applications.
- General administration duties, including sending emails and writing letters.
- Working alone in the office effectively and efficiently without management present.
- Working well as part of a team.

Pay: £13.00-£18.00 per hour
