Job Summary
The Six Bells, a historic family pub based in Northfleet is looking for an assistant manager. We are looking for an experienced individual to assist with management of daily tasks, organisation of events or promotions and stock control.
Duties
- Assist the Bar Manager in supervising daily bar activities, including food preparation, cooking, and beverage service
- Lead and motivate a team of bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to deliver outstanding customer service
- Ensure all safety standards are strictly followed to maintain quality and compliance
- Manage inventory levels of beverages, and supplies; coordinate ordering as needed
- Support training initiatives on hospitality best practices and serving techniques.
- Maintain a lively atmosphere by engaging with guests and ensuring smooth operations during peak hours
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment with team management responsibilities
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for service
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Experience in restaurant or hotel settings with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Familiarity with serving techniques, beverage handling, and customer engagement strategies
- Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
