We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Drama Club Instructor / Supervisor to run a weekly after-school Drama Club at a primary school in Coventry (CV5). This role gives children the opportunity to develop confidence, communication, creativity, and teamwork through drama, storytelling, improvisation, and performance in a fun and supportive environment.
The club runs Thursdays, 3:30pm – 4:30pm (1 hour per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise small groups of primary-aged children in engaging drama activities.
- Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate sessions that include improvisation, role play, storytelling, character development, script work, and drama games.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, communication, and self-expression through performance-based activities.
- Support children in developing teamwork, presentation skills, and stage confidence in an inclusive and encouraging environment.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and, where appropriate, parents regarding children's participation and progress.
- Ensure the activity space and any equipment are safe, organised, and prepared for each session.
Experience & Skills
- Experience teaching drama, theatre, acting, or performing arts to children in schools, clubs, or similar settings.
- Ability to inspire and engage young learners in a structured yet enjoyable environment.
- Strong English communication skills for working effectively with children, staff, and parents.
- A background in drama, theatre, performing arts, education, or youth theatre is desirable.
Pay: £30.00 per hour
