About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading and supporting our care team, ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance, and staff development. You’ll be instrumental in driving quality, innovation, and growth within the service primarily in the York & East Yorkshire area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage care staff to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
- Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards.
- Support the Registered Manager in day-to-day operations and strategic planning.
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and audits.
- Build strong relationships with clients, families, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK and eligibility to work in a managerial role.
- Minimum 3 years’ senior experience in a care setting.
- Proven track record in staff management and client care excellence.
- Strong understanding of CQC compliance, safeguarding, and quality control.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly self-motivated, with a career pathway desire to be a Registered Manager role.
Desirable
- Experience working with York, East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) and Hull City Council.
- Knowledge of local authority processes and funding pathways.
- A natural leader with a growth mindset, ready to inspire and develop others.
