Job Overview
We are seeking friendly and professional Waiters / Waitresses to join our vibrant hospitality team.In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, providing excellent service while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation.
Please note: This is not a live-in position. Successful applicants will be responsible for arranging and securing their own accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Provide attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or dietary needs.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
- Clear tables and assist with setting up for subsequent service periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in basic food preparation when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed.
- Handle cash or electronic payments accurately, providing correct change or receipts.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and responding promptly to feedback.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques.
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills with a friendly, positive demeanour.
- Good organisational skills and time management to ensure smooth service flow.
- Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
