We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Private Autism Nanny to provide specialised care and support for a young child with autism. Duties
- Provide one-on-one childcare tailored to the child's individual needs and routines
- Support behavioural development through positive reinforcement and customised activities
- Assist with daily routines including meal preparation, hygiene, and sleep schedules
- Implement educational activities that promote learning and social skills
- Facilitate communication using appropriate methods, including visual aids or alternative communication tools if necessary
- Accompany the child on outings, ensuring safety at all times
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, progress, and any behavioural incidents
- Collaborate closely with parents or guardians to ensure consistency in care strategies
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare, nannying, or teaching children with autism or special needs
- Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and behavioural management techniques
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging educational activities
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French is advantageous but not essential
- Valid driving licence and experience driving children safely in various conditions
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing routines and individualised care plans
