We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous chef to join our team at Honey+Harvey in Melton + Woodbridgege. This role is vital in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly, maintaining our high standards of food quality and safety. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and love culinary excellence, we want to hear from you.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met
- Supervise and support kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining consistency
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with suppliers for ingredient sourcing
- Assist in menu development and innovation
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
- Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, and safety standards
- Excellent team management and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred
