As we have opened a new practice and the organisation is growing, we are looking for a friendly, patient-focused dental nurse to join our expanding team. Oradent Dental Care treats private patients in the local community.
Supporting You:
The successful candidate will be fully supported by the Whetstone onsite team and you will receive the support also from our Operations Team; which currently includes: HR Team, Operations Director, Operations Managers, Quality and Compliance Manager and the Practice Principals/Owners.

Hours: Part Time Hours, 3 days per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with a view to increase the number of working hours in the future.
Permanent contract.
Overview of Role:
The role of a Head Dental Nurse is to work alongside and assist Dentists and Hygienists in the care of patients. With the view to achieve excellent customer service, quality and delivery performance that are in line with the company strategy, goals and values.
Jobs tasks can include:
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
- Maintain CPD and training matrix in line with the company policies
- To provide chairside assistance to all clinicians and the procedures that may be involved
- To comply with current infection control procedures and policies
- Keep full, accurate patient records and update patient records keeping in with GDPR policies
- Be familiar with all the dental services we offer
- Be confident to work with computerised dental systems (training will be given in Dentally)
- Monitor, support and reassure patients along with giving appropriate patient advice.
- Support the patient and their colleagues if there is a medical emergency.
- Ensure surgeries are well stocked/maintained at all times.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- Reception and Decon cover may be required
Qualifications
Desirables
- Qualified Dental Practice Nursing: 2 years (preferred)
- Sedation or Implant Experience/Qualifications
Skills
- Able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and adaptability
- Maintain high standards of patient care
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Deliver high standards of care to our patients
- Commitment to further training and self-development.
