Horses and Ponies Protection Association, Burnley, Lancashire, is looking for an outgoing individual to deliver friendly, efficient customer service and to create a warm welcome for visitors to HAPPA Direct, the Charity’s gift and equestrian shop, based at Shores Hey Farm in Briercliffe, Burnley.
This is an exciting opportunity for anybody passionate about customer service, income generation, equine welfare and who enjoys interacting with members of the public. The key responsibilities for the position are to facilitate the best possible visitor experience, efficiently deal with all customer enquiries, and present a welcoming and well-stocked gift and equestrian shop.
You will be the person that creates the first and lasting impression for all visitors to the Farm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting and greeting members of the public, processing payments within the gift shop, answering and responding to telephone calls, emails, and HAPPA Direct Facebook messages, responsible for the administration of the Charity’s Membership and Sponsorship Schemes, and supporting fundraising initiatives including fortnightly Facebook Live Auctions.
Competency in using IT software, previous experience of navigating a database and social media experience in a business context will all be beneficial to the post. Knowledge or experience with equine tack and equipment would also be of benefit.
