We are looking for a confident and engaging Site Tour Guide to represent ORE Catapult at our Blyth test and demonstration facilities. In this role, you will deliver informative, accessible and safe tours for a wide range of visitors, including industry partners, government officials, academic groups and members of the public.
You will help bring our work to life by explaining offshore renewable energy technologies, our mission and our contribution to the UK's net-zero ambitions in a way that is clear, memorable and tailored to each audience.
Lead high-quality guided tours of ORE Catapult's Blyth facilities, adapting your approach to suit different audiences.
Present complex technical information in a clear, accessible and engaging way.
Act as a knowledgeable and positive ambassador for ORE Catapult's work, values and safety culture.
Deliver pre-tour safety briefings and ensure visitors follow site guidelines throughout their visit.
Support the planning and coordination of tours, including bookings, visitor lists and logistics.
Prepare and maintain visitor materials and documentation.
Support VIP and external stakeholder visits, working closely with colleagues across Communications, Engagement and operational teams.
Collect visitor feedback and suggest improvements to enhance the tour experience.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence speaking to groups of different sizes and backgrounds.
The ability to explain technical information in a way that is easy to understand.
A customer-focused approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Comfort working in industrial or operational site environments.
A basic understanding of health and safety principles.
Experience in public engagement, education, visitor services or a similar role.
Knowledge of renewable energy, engineering or offshore wind technologies.
First Aid or visitor services training.
Experience working in STEM, research or industrial settings.
