Registered Manager – 55k-60k

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead a well-established Complex care home in Wakefield.
The service supports male and female residents with a range of needs, including Learning Disabilities, Autism, Personality Disorders and complex needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager who is passionate about providing high-quality care and can build strong relationships with residents, staff and professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the 40-bed service.
- Ensure the service consistently delivers high-quality, person-centred care.
- Lead, support and develop the staff team, creating a positive and motivated working environment.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements and relevant legislation.
- Monitor care plans, risk assessments and quality assurance processes.
- Manage and respond appropriately to complex behaviours and challenging situations.
- Build strong relationships with residents and ensure their individual needs, choices and aspirations are respected.
- Work closely with families, healthcare professionals and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor staffing levels and ensure the service remains safely and effectively staffed.
- Drive continuous improvement across the service and maintain high standards of care.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Be an experienced Registered Manager with a strong track record within health and social care.
- Have previous management experience within a service of 35+ beds.
- Have experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours.
- Ideally have experience working with Learning Disabilities, Autism and/or Personality Disorders.
- Be confident leading a large multidisciplinary care team.
- Have excellent knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
- Be able to build genuine relationships and connect with a younger cohort of residents.
- Have strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Be passionate about delivering person-centred care and improving outcomes for residents.
Alternative Experience
Candidates from an older people's care background may also be considered where they can demonstrate strong experience supporting individuals with complex dementia and associated behaviours.
Staffing & Support
The service is well staffed, with:
- 3:1 and 2:1 support in place where required.
- A fully staffed care team.
- Two Deputy Managers supporting the service.
- Deputies working 40 hours Monday–Friday, with flexibility where required.
- Strong operational support to the Registered Manager.
Salary & Benefits
- £55,000 per annum advertised salary.
