● Carry out all cleaning duties as directed in the paper based records to the required Company standards. Cleaning duties will be in all areas of the home.
● Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
● Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
● Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the Senior in charge of the shift or the Registered manager.
● Carry out any other reasonable instructions of the Registered Manager.
● To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.
● To comply with COSHH regulations.
● To adhere to infection control polices at all times.
● To ensure the correct use of PPE and ensure the PPE around the home is restocked.
● To follow the correct use of colour code systems within the home
● To ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily.
● To ensure the trolley is re-stocked at the end of shift and cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidy.
Essential
● Previous cleaning experience
● Ability to communicate in fluent English, both verbal and written.
Desirable
● Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting
Shifts would be Saturday & Sunday 8-4pm plus 1 week day 2-8pm deep cleaning the kitchen.
Kitchen Deep Clean - The purpose of this job is to carry out a thorough deep clean of the kitchen, ensuring all areas, appliances, surfaces, and equipment are cleaned, sanitised, and left to a high standard of hygiene.
Duties include:
- Deep clean all worktops, cupboards, drawers, shelves, doors, and handles.
- Clean inside and outside of kitchen cupboards and drawers.
- Remove grease and food residue from walls, tiles, splashbacks, and other surfaces.
- Deep clean the oven, hob, extractor hood, filters, and surrounding areas.
- Clean inside and outside of the fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and other kitchen appliances.
- Clean sinks, taps, draining boards, and surrounding areas; remove limescale where required.
- Clean behind and underneath movable appliances and equipment where safely accessible.
- Clean skirting boards, doors, frames, light switches, sockets, and other touch points.
- Remove cobwebs and clean accessible vents and high-level surfaces.
- Empty and thoroughly clean bins and waste areas.
- Sweep, vacuum, scrub, and mop kitchen floors, paying particular attention to corners, edges, and underneath units.
- Sanitise food-preparation and frequently touched surfaces.
- Dispose of cleaning waste appropriately.
- Return items and equipment to their correct places after cleaning.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, pest concerns, or areas requiring additional attention.
All work should be completed using appropriate cleaning products and equipment, following health and safety procedures and leaving the kitchen clean, hygienic, tidy, and ready for use.
