MAC Groundwork Contractors Ltd is a growing and respected groundwork and civil engineering contractor delivering high-quality projects across the UK. Our work ranges from commercial and residential developments to specialist sports facilities, including sports pitches, MUGAs (Multi-Use Games Areas), and associated infrastructure works.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Groundworker to join our team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide variety of groundwork and civil engineering projects, working alongside experienced teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- General groundwork and civil engineering duties.
- Setting out and preparing sites for construction works.
- Excavations, drainage installation, and ducting works.
- Kerbing, edging, concreting, and paving.
- Installation and preparation of sports pitches and MUGAs.
- Foundations, sub-base preparation, and finishing works.
- Operating small plant and equipment where qualified.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements on site.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in groundworks and civil engineering.
- Experience with drainage, kerbing, foundations, and general site works.
- NPORS/CPCS Card for Plant Operations.
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Streetworks (NRSWA) qualification.
- First Aid at Work.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
