Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks effectively.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues before they develop into major problems.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repair work.
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each project.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised following health and safety guidelines.
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing or related trades such as carpentry or mechanical work is essential.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, basic maths for measurements and calculations, and experience with heavy lifting are important assets.
- Experience working in commercial environments or operating commercial driving vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
