Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machine Setter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and preparing machinery and equipment to ensure efficient production processes. This role requires a strong understanding of Thermoforming Machine Setting and Thermoforming Tooling. The Setter will play a vital part in maintaining high standards of quality and safety within the production environment, supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Applicants should possess experience of mechanical systems and machinery.
People who have experience in Injection Moulding or Blow Moulding have had success in this role after training as their mechanical knowledge and machine experience allows them to learn quicker
Role is working on a 3 Shift Rota. (If training is needed nights will not be an options until trained.)
6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am. 2 weeks on each shift 8 hours per shift.
5 Days a week. Nights start Monday and finish Saturday at 6am
OT paid at Time + 1/2 through week, weekend OT available when needed.
Tools and Uniform provided.
Responsibilities
- Setting Thermoforming Machines
- Maintaining Quality & Production output.
- Machine Maintenance.
- Tool Preparation.
- Tool Repair.
- Maintain documentation of setup procedures, adjustments, and production data for quality control purposes.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Experience
- Thermoforming Machine Setting.
- Experience with KMD78 Machines desirable.
- Experience producing Plastic Packaging for the food industry.
- Problem Solving.
- Tool Repair.
- Working a part of a production team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
