We are seeking a Clinical Deputy Manager to join our leadership team at Ferndene Care Home. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with strong clinical and leadership skills to play a key role in delivering outstanding care and supporting the ongoing success of our well-established home.
Ferndene Care Home is a purpose built nursing and residential home, providing care and nursing support to older adults and individuals living with dementia.
Position Details:
· Hours: 40 hours - This is a full-time position comprising of 2 nursing shifts per week and 2 supernumerary days, with a share of on call duties.
· Nursing shift times: 07:45-20:00
· Supernumerary shift times: 08:00-16:00
· Location: Park Springs Road, Gainsborough, DN21
· CQC Rating: GOOD
As a Clinical Deputy Manager your days will be varied, and responsibilities will include working as part of the Management team to ensure the highest level of care and support is maintained. We will look to you to provide leadership to the staff team and maintain effective communication with all staff, families and visiting professionals.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Lead and support the clinical and care teams to deliver high-quality person-centred care.
· Monitor clinical standards and ensure compliance with CQC requirements.
· Support the Registered Manager with audits, governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
· Participate in staff supervision, appraisals, recruitment, and development.
· Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and medication management.
· Act as a role model and mentor for nursing and care staff.
· Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence.
Required: Driving licence and use of a vehicle
