An opportunity has arisen at Ulverston Golf Club, a beautiful parkland course in South Cumbria with stunning views across Morecambe Bay and the Lake District fells.
We are looking to recruit a Seasonal Part-Time Grounds Assistant to help support the upkeep and presentation of the golf course and surrounding areas during the busy season.
Working alongside the Head Greenkeeper and wider team, the successful candidate will assist with general outdoor maintenance duties to help keep the course looking its best. This role could suit a student, college leaver, or anyone looking for flexible outdoor work.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to work as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Desirable
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping, or outdoor work
- Experience using outdoor tools or machinery
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Assist with general golf course and grounds maintenance
- Help with tidying, strimming, raking, and other seasonal tasks
- Support the team with day-to-day upkeep of the course, driving range and clubhouse surroundings
- Be flexible with working hours, to include early mornings and weekends
