Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Holiday Club Leader to oversee engaging sporting activities for children during school holidays. Someone with an interest in tennis, dodgeball, rounders and other hand-eye co-ordination games would be preferred.
The successful candidate will organise and supervise a variety of fun, educational, and developmental sporting and other activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. An interest in coaching, childcare and teaching are essential, along with an interest in sports and exercise. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire young minds while fostering a positive holiday experience for children and their families.
Duties
- Organise and lead a diverse programme of sporting activities suitable for children of various ages during holiday periods.
- Supervise children to ensure their safety at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies.
- Facilitate engaging educational and recreational activities that promote learning and socialisation.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding programme details and children's progress or behaviour.
- Maintain a welcoming and organised environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are safe and well-maintained.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation from children of all backgrounds.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate programme success and suggest improvements.
Requirements
- Experience and/or qualifications in sports coaching, childcare, teaching, or similar roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate fluently.
- Passionate about working with children and creating positive holiday experiences.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures relevant to working with children.
- Flexibility to work during school holiday periods, including mornings, afternoons, or full days as required.

Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
