Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HGVs and associated equipment.
- Diagnose faults using schematics and electrical diagrams, then carry out repairs accordingly
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs efficiently.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and comply with industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment to ensure safety during repairs.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy vehicle maintenance or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of vehicle repair standards and safety regulations within the industry.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple repair tasks effectively.

Pay: £26,002.27-£52,981.54 per year
