Duties
- Greet customers enthusiastically, assess their tool needs, and recommend suitable products to enhance their projects
- Demonstrate product features and benefits to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Perform diagnostics on power tools, identify issues, and execute repairs efficiently using appropriate tools and techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and repair area to promote safety and efficiency
- Keep detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions for quality assurance
- Stay updated on the latest tools, repair techniques, and safety standards to provide expert advice and service
- Assist in inventory management by stocking shelves, ordering parts, and ensuring availability of popular items
Requirements
- Proven experience with power tool repair or technical troubleshooting in a retail or workshop setting
- Strong knowledge of various power tools, brands, and repair procedures
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain product features and repair processes to customers
- Ability to lift heavy equipment safely and stand for extended periods during busy shifts
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing repairs and inventory records
- A proactive attitude with a passion for helping customers find solutions that meet their project needs
- Nice-to-have: certifications or training in electrical or mechanical repair; familiarity with safety protocols in tool handling
