Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Life Skills Tutor to support individuals in developing essential life skills. Responsibilities
- Deliver customised tutoring sessions focused on practical life skills such as communication, organisation, time management, and social interaction.
- Support learners in applying life skills within real-world contexts, encouraging independence and self-confidence.
- Develop personalised lesson plans aligned with each individual's needs and learning goals.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to learners and relevant stakeholders.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation and motivation.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in skill development programmes.
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and any required documentation.
Experience
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children or young adults, particularly within special education or behavioural support settings, is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effectively engaging learners and conveying information clearly.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in education will be beneficial.
- A compassionate approach combined with patience and adaptability is crucial for success in this role.
