It is a physicaliy demanding position that requires standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in hot and humid and cold environments.
You can work confidently in this kitchen environment that can be stressful but have the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control: Enforce strict food safety and sanitation standards to ensure the highest level of food quality and customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and supplies, minimising waste and optimising cost control.
- Plan, develop and enhance dishes in a Team collaboration.
- Accurately follow the instructions and cooking process of standardised recipes, producing foods with consistant weight, taste and appearance to company specifications in order to achieve Customer Success and maintain costs.
- Prepare and cook food using a variety of culinary techniques
- Oversee your section and liaise with other Kitchen and Dispatch staff and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, taking regular responsibility for delegated areas
- Communicate any important information ensuring it is signed on receipt
- Manage inventory and ensure that all ingredients are properly stored
- Guide and develop kitchen staff within your own expertise
- Stay up-to-date on culinary trends and techniques
