Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician.
- Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs or Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs).
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Night Shift opportunities are available within the following departments:
- Commercial Vehicle Service (HGV Technicians)
- Transit Centre Service (Light Commercial Vehicle Technicians)
About the Role
Paynes of Hinckley is looking for experienced Vehicle Technicians to join our growing aftersales team. You'll be working with leading vehicle manufacturers, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to the highest standards while helping us deliver outstanding service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on commercial vehicles.
- Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and complete all manufacturer training requirements.
- Diagnose faults efficiently and carry out repairs to manufacturer specifications.
- Complete Vehicle Health Checks accurately and ensure repair documentation clearly identifies the concern, cause and repair carried out.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship that minimises repeat repairs and maximises customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards, company procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Take care of company tools, equipment and customer vehicles at all times.
