Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Security Manager to oversee the safety and security operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing security protocols, managing security personnel, and ensuring a safe environment for all staff and visitors. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to risk management. The Security Manager will play a vital part in safeguarding assets, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a secure organisational culture.
Duties
- Manage and coordinate the activities of security personnel, including staff scheduling, training and performance reviews.
- Conduct regular audits of allocated sites to ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements and security standards.
- Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with the emergency services and relevant authorities where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, investigations and daily operations through effective report writing.
- Organise, maintain and review site and staff scheduling systems, ensuring reporting lines are up to date and effectively managed.
- Provide operational support as required, ensuring emergency response procedures are implemented efficiently and in accordance with company protocols.
- Carry out comprehensive risk assessments to identify site vulnerabilities, ensuring assessment reports align with tender specifications and client requirements.
- Plan and deliver training sessions for staff on security awareness, emergency procedures, first aid and best practice.
Skills
- Proven experience in security management or a related field with strong leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in surveillance techniques and equipment operation.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document incidents clearly and accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, external agencies, and law enforcement authorities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies or high-stress situations.
