Overview
We are seeking a proactive Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our manufacturing processes and products. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in quality assurance experience to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold compliance standards.
This is a varied role split across Quality and Testing within a fast-growing company based, South East Wales. Reporting to the Group Quality Manager the role will be focused on ensuring quality levels are upheld through inspection and testing.
The role is part of the wider group’s quality team spread across their two manufacturing sites, one at Brynmawr and one at Abergavenny.
Responsibilities
Monitoring inbound quality levels from suppliers and communicating quality concerns when required
Assist in maintaining and developing the company’s internal processes working alongside the wider quality team
Assisting with the creation of Quality Documentation to include: Work Instructions, Quality Alerts, Non-Conformities, Packaging Instructions, Assembly Aids
Carrying out Root Cause Analysis and completing internal paperwork including: 8D Reports
Assisting in the creation of quality compliance documentation when required including: Material Declarations, Certificates of Conformity
Recording key data linked to quality to report to the Group Quality Manager
Supporting the Quality team during ISO Audits
Assisting in the creation of testing specifications of products
Carrying out product testing in line with testing specifications and producing reports for review
Communicate and work alongside key areas of the business for continuous improvement including: Quality, HSE, Design, Purchasing, Production and Sales
Skills
- Proven experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communicator with the ability to manage supplier and customer relationships.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 Quality standards.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Organised and efficient.
