We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team minimum level 2 qualification in early years education. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to fostering their development in a nurturing environment. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, and a genuine interest in early childhood education. The ideal candidate will plan engaging, age- appropriate activities that support learning and development not just keeping the children busy, confident in observing childrens interests and using these to plan meaningful learning experiences. We are a pack away setting so must be fit in body and mind. wage determined by age, experience, qualification.
Duties
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery setting.
- Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and well-being.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained.
- Help manage children's behaviour in a positive manner, promoting social skills and emotional development.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children is essential; nursery experience is highly desirable.
- A background in early childhood education or childcare is preferred.
- Strong management and leadership skills to support team dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
