Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance and guidance to children and young people. Duties
- Offer personalised support to children and young people, encouraging their social, emotional, and educational development
- Assist with daily activities, including organising outings, leisure activities, and educational programmes
- Mentor and motivate children to build confidence and independence
- Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support
- Facilitate teaching sessions or activities aimed at developing life skills and learning abilities
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and support plans
- Promote a positive environment that encourages participation and inclusion
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people is highly desirable
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Proven ability to teach or facilitate learning activities effectively
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly, often in dynamic or challenging situations
- Relevant qualifications or training related to childcare or social care are advantageous but not essential
- A recognised qualification in health & social care or related fields is preferred
- Commitment to safeguarding policies and procedures
- Full UK driving licence (Mandatory).
- Minimum 3–4 years' experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar care role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK.
