Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painting & Decorating Technician to join our existing team of 8 people. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and painting of various surfaces attached to modular buildings. The work involves refurbishment aswell as painting newly manufactured modular buildings and requires high-quality results that meets client specifications. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and protect surfaces from environmental factors. This position offers a wide variety of work and is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills within a fast moving manufacturing environment while contributing to visually impactful buildings that are deployed across the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, filling and priming surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality.
- Apply paints, using predominantly brushes and rollers and other tools with precision, speed and efficiency.
- Follow instructions from the management team who will brief you on drawings, plans and specifications to achieve desired decorative effects and finishes that meet the clients requirements
- Maintain a high standard of work and quality whilst operating at pace in a busy fast moving factory site
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate work schedules and clarify work requirements.
- Be an effective team player often working with other colleagues to collaborate on the works required
- Manage tools and materials responsibly, ensuring proper maintenance and storage for longevity and safety.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in painting or decorating roles, with a strong understanding of surface preparation, paint types and finishing techniques.
- Valid driving license to facilitate transportation to the rurally based work site
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members, other sub contractors, management and the client.
- Ability to follow instructions from technical drawings, project plans, and safety instructions clearly.
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work at height as needed.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting equipment

Pay: £14.00-£19.00 per hour
