Summary of Position
Working as an integral part of the Customer Service team, this role is responsible for completing a range of tasks that deliver a vital service to both new and existing customers. The successful candidate will provide exceptional service by consistently exceeding expectations and promoting a culture of excellence, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Order Fulfilment Coordinator to ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer orders across our portfolio of chemical products. The role works closely with Sales, Warehouse and Compliance teams to maintain smooth order flow, support regulatory compliance and deliver outstanding customer experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Receive, review and accurately enter customer orders into the SAP or ERP system, managing a volume of approximately 30 orders per day.
- Verify product codes, quantities, pricing and customer account details to ensure order accuracy.
- Monitor order progress and ensure any updates or changes are clearly communicated to customers.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to prioritise and schedule order dispatches.
- Ensure all orders comply with ADR, REACH and other relevant chemical regulations.
- Issue order confirmations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Update customer reports and delivery dates using system and manual reports, and proactively manage overdue orders.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.
- Proactively monitor and manage open orders to ensure timely fulfilment and resolution of any issues.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Good GCSEs, or equivalent, in core subjects (including Maths and English).
- A qualification in Chemistry, or an interest in the subject, is desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and Outlook).
- Experience using an SAP or similar ERP system is desirable.

- Competent in using ERP or WMS systems (such as SAP, Oracle or similar).
- High attention to detail, with strong numeracy and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with both internal teams and external customers.
Desirable
- Knowledge of international shipping processes and Incoterms.
- Experience within a chemical distribution business or laboratory supply chain environment.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
Pay: Up to £26,728.00 per year
