Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Business Development Executive to join our team in the South region (approximately south of Birmingham). This is a predominantly field-based sales position covering the South of the UK, with the vast majority of the role spent travelling to meet installers, builders, and trade partners across the region.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through client engagement, fostering new business opportunities, and strengthening existing relationships. We’re looking for someone who is confident building relationships, proactive in identifying opportunities, and eager to maximise their earning potential through an uncapped commission structure. The successful applicant will be involved in B2B sales activities, utilising their communication and analysis skills to achieve targets and support organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the South region through targeted outreach and networking.
- Work to defined sales plans, targets, and activity levels whilst maintaining commercial discipline around pricing
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and presentations with guidance from senior team members
- Generate leads through a mix of outbound prospecting and inbound enqueries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Support account growth by identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Utilise CRM tools to track leads, manage pipelines, and report on sales activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing and product development to align and optimise business growth.
- Lead negotiations and close deals efficiently while maintaining organisational standards.
- Analyse sales data regularly to evaluate performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the organisation’s leadership in developing strategic plans for regional expansion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B sales with a strong understanding of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing (3 years required)
- Account Management experience (3 years required).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret market data, customer feedback, and sales performance metrics.
- Proficiency in using CRM platforms for managing client relationships and sales pipelines.
- Organised approach with exceptional planning skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for achieving targets and supporting organisational growth goals. This role is ideal for an ambitious professional eager to make a significant impact within a growing organisation while developing their career in business development.
- Familiarity with construction, fenestration, or conservatory products would be advantageous but training can be provided.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous but training can be provided.
