Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food safety procedures to ensure high standards of hygiene and quality.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and ingredient organisation.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts.
- Help with serving food to customers or staff as required.
- Restock supplies and ensure the kitchen remains organised during service periods.
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with meal preparation, food safety standards, and kitchen hygiene practices is beneficial.
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles will be considered an asset.
- Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in developing their skills within the food industry and possess good organisational abilities.
- No formal qualifications are required; however, a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
