Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Construction Labourer/Skilled Labourer/Improver to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing and organizing work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Perform general labour duties such as lifting, moving materials, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Support skilled tradespeople with tasks related to carpentry, bricklaying, hod carrying, demolition, drainage and groundworks
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Follow safety protocols diligently and use personal protective equipment at all times.
- Contribute to quality control by inspecting work for accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of construction trades such as drainage, masonry, demolition and groundwork
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and correctly.
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is a plus but not required.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards at all times.
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated learners.
- Must have driving license and drive.
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening are mandatory as part of the process
