Duties
- Develop original fashion concepts and designs, incorporating embroidery techniques that enhance aesthetic appeal.
- Utilise digital design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign to create detailed sketches and visualisations.
- Use CAD programmes like Maya or SketchUp for 3D modelling and technical pattern development.
- Prepare colour palettes, fabric selections, and embroidery patterns aligned with current trends and brand identity.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing while maintaining artistic integrity.
- Create visual content including photography and web design elements to showcase collections across various platforms.
- Contribute to the development of branding materials using graphic design skills, including Adobe Creative Suite applications.
- Assist in the realisation of embroidery designs on textiles, ensuring precision and quality standards are met.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in fashion, embroidery techniques, digital tools, and web design to continually innovate.
Requirements
- Proven experience or strong portfolio demonstrating skills in fashion design, embroidery, or textile arts.
- Proficiency with digital design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects; experience with Maya or SketchUp is desirable.
- Knowledge of web design languages including HTML and CSS is advantageous.
- Skills in photography and graphic design to produce compelling visual content.
- Familiarity with CAD programmes like Maya or Sketch for 3D modelling and technical drawings.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent colour sense and attention to detail in both design execution and embroidery work.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

- Proven experience as a Fashion Designer or Tailor specialising in African attire.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian traditional and contemporary fashion styles.
- Excellent sewing skills, including proficiency with both manual and industrial sewing machines.
- Advanced skills in African embroidery, embellishment, and stoning techniques.
- Ability to draft patterns and perform precise garment cutting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
