We’re looking for a Head Pizza Chef to take the lead on the pizza side of The Bristol Loaf.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced pizza chef who wants to run their own small department, develop great food and have some creative freedom — without working five or six nights a week.
Daytime Offering
You’ll be producing panuzzo (traditional Italian pizza dough sandwiches) alongside a constantly changing selection of Roman-style traybake pizzas, with six different pizza toppings available at all times.
We change the recipes every month, so there’s plenty of opportunity to work with seasonal ingredients, develop new ideas and keep the counter interesting.
Evenings
On Friday and Saturday evenings we addNew York-style pizza to the mix, serving whole pies and pizza by the slice alongside our wine and cocktail offering.
The Role
You’ll be the Head of the Pizza Department, taking responsibility for the quality and consistency of everything we produce.
It’s a small department, so this is very much a hands-on role. You’ll be making pizza as well as leading the section, developing recipes, organising prep and making sure the department runs smoothly.
You’ll work closely alongside our café kitchen team and bread team, so while you’ll have ownership of your department, you’ll still be part of the wider Bristol Loaf kitchen and bakery.
We’re looking for someone who is excited about dough, fermentation and great ingredients, and who enjoys developing new pizzas rather than simply following the same menu week after week.
