Job Description Overview
We are seeking an Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our dental practice in providing high-quality care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, organised individual with excellent communication skills. Applicants must have already achieved a Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in both GCSE Maths and GCSE English Language, as these are essential requirements for this apprenticeship.
Duties
- Assisting dentists and/or therapists during various dental procedures
- Providing chairside support to patients with an empathetic and caring approach
- Ensuring the cleanliness and sterilisation of dental instruments and surgery space
- Maintaining dental compliance through decontamination tasks and surgery checks
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
- Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and advising on the benefits of our retail products
- Managing stock levels and ordering supplies as required
- Communicating effectively with patients throughout their treatment journey
- Using IT systems for patient management
Essential Requirements
- Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and GCSE English Language. Applications will only be considered where both qualifications have already been achieved.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills
- A caring and professional approach to patient care
- Good IT skills and willingness to learn

Pay: £8.00 per hour in the first year of the apprenticeship. Thereafter, apprentices will be paid at least the National Minimum Wage applicable to their age.
