Overview:
We are seeking a passionate candidate to join our childminding setting in providing high-quality care and education to young children. The ideal candidate is willing to work in an demanding environment and supporting the childminder by adapting to the job role.
What will the apprentice be doing?
- To assist for the planning, development and delivery of themes within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring all learning interests and individual needs of the children are met, extending them where necessary.
-To assist for organising the environment inside and outside to ensure resources and equipment are available and appropriate to meet the needs of the individual children within the group, whilst making sure the resources and equipment are set out in a purposeful, stimulating and safe way, rich in learning opportunities.
-To clear away activities, toys and equipment once finished with, encouraging children to help, making sure all is put away correctly.
-To be a positive role model to other staff and children in respecting the Nursery’s environment and resources.
-Working with a childminding setting.

Qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 5) desirable
- GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 5) desirable
- NVQ or SVQ Level 1 or equivalent Level 1 in Childcare (Grade pass) desirable
- Paediatric Full First Aid Certificate, desirable
- Food and Hygiene, desirable
- DBS Update Service, desirable
- What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification
- Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
- Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.
- There will be opportunities to apply for a full-time, qualified role on completion of the apprenticeship and for progression to a Level 3 qualification.
