Forecourt Cleaning Assistant

Shell Morley Services is looking for a reliable and hardworking Forecourt Cleaning Assistant to help keep our forecourt, air/water units, vacuum bays and service areas clean, safe and welcoming. You’ll play an important role in maintaining high standards of presentation, safety and customer experience across the site.
Key ResponsibilitiesKeeping the Site Running Smoothly
- Maintain the forecourt and vacuum areas, ensuring they are clear of debris and rubbish
- Empty car vacuums regularly (minimum once per week)
- Ensure all service units are fully operational for customers
- Arrive on site at your scheduled start time
Supporting a Positive Customer Experience
- Be friendly, polite and helpful to all customers
- Handle customer complaints professionally and in line with company policy
- Assist customers with forecourt equipment and site services
- Participate in company mystery motorist initiatives to support customer satisfaction
Maintaining a Safe Environment
- Carry out housekeeping duties to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff
- Follow all health & safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Complete first‑line checks on equipment and report any faults or damage
- Wear required PPE, including goggles when handling chemicals
- Ensure site facilities are well‑lit, clean and free from hazards
- Check fire equipment daily and report or correct defects
Upholding High Presentation Standards
- Wear full uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance
- Replace worn or damaged signage or décor to avoid customer confusion
- Clean forecourt equipment, air/water units, vacuum bays, garden areas, shop frontage and windows daily
