About the Role
Im Beyonds Business and Creative Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Administrator to support the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll and related financial records.
The successful candidate will assist with payroll preparation, employee data maintenance, deductions, statutory payments, reconciliations, and payroll queries. This position is suited to someone who works accurately with numbers, handles confidential information responsibly, and can manage recurring deadlines in a structured administrative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll information accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain payroll records for new starters, leavers, salary adjustments, and employee changes.
- Review timesheets, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and absence information before payroll processing.
- Process statutory payments, including sickness, maternity, paternity, and other applicable leave payments.
- Check payroll data for errors, missing information, and inconsistencies.
- Prepare payroll reports and supporting documentation for internal review.
- Assist with employee pension deductions and contribution records.
- Reconcile payroll information and investigate differences when identified.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payslips, deductions, tax codes, and payment information.
- Maintain accurate records relating to holiday pay and employee leave.
- Coordinate with HR and finance teams to ensure employee information is current and accurate.
- Assist with payroll year-end processes and required reporting.
- Maintain organised and confidential payroll records.
- Support internal payroll audits and provide documentation when required.
- Assist with improving payroll administration procedures and record accuracy.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Previous experience in payroll administration, finance administration, accounts, HR administration, or a similar role is preferred.
Payroll Knowledge: Understanding of payroll processes, deductions, statutory payments, pensions, and employee payroll records would be advantageous.
Numerical Skills: Comfortable working with numerical information and checking calculations and payroll data for accuracy.
Attention to Detail: Able to identify discrepancies and maintain a high level of accuracy when processing employee payments and records.
Systems Skills: Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, payroll systems, spreadsheets, email, and general office software.
Organisation: Able to manage recurring payroll deadlines, prioritise tasks, and maintain structured documentation.
Communication: Able to communicate professionally with employees, HR colleagues, finance teams, and other internal stakeholders.
Confidentiality: Understands the importance of securely handling employee salary, banking, tax, and personal information.
Problem Solving: Able to investigate payroll discrepancies, identify the source of issues, and support timely resolution.
Mindset: You are organised, dependable, discreet, and careful with detail. You take responsibility for producing accurate work, meeting payroll deadlines, and ensuring employees and internal teams receive reliable payroll support.
Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per month
